Rounds

To cut round cakes, move in 3 inches from the cake's outer edge;  then cut a circle and slice approximately 1 inch pieces within the circle.  Repeat until the diameter of the cake is approximately 6 inches across, then cut wedges until the cake is completely cut.  Cut petal and hexagon cakes similar to round tiers.

Note:  6 inch diameter cakes should be cut in wedges, without a center circle.

Squares

To cut square cakes, move in 3 inches from the outer edge and top to bottom.  Then slice approximately 1 inch pieces of cake.  Now move in another 3 inches and repeat until the cake is completely cut.

Sheets

Cut Sheet Cakes similar to square cakes.
