Pricing


Time involved and complexity of design are the most costly factors in determining the final price of your order.  The following pricing guidelines are simply a beginning point;  All cakes start with the base price listed which includes cake, icing and simple decorations.  Fondant, gumpaste, marzipan (etc.) decorations or intricate piping and/ or painting will be priced according to degree of difficulty and time involved.  I offer detailed, itemized price quotes after your consultation to allow you to make changes (if necessary) to your design in order to fit your budget.  Please also review how to save money on your next order! 

Cake Prices:

Minimum order amount is 25 servings.  Cakes iced in buttercream begin at $3.50 per serving, and fondant begins at $4.00.  All 3D sculpted/carved cakes begin at $5.50 per serving.  While you are welcome to order from my existing portfolio, I encourage unique designs that suit your personal style, and offer complimentary initial and design consultations in order to achieve the look that's perfect for you.  I also do NOT charge extra for square or wedding cakes, choosing multiple flavors for multi-tiered cakes, setting up your cake table, or arranging fresh flowers on your cake.  I offer complimentary top tiers for wedding cakes (or a fresh anniversary cake), and a complimentary smash cake (with order) for your little one's 1st birthday bash.  Plus, my realistic serving sizes are 90% larger than the miniscule mass-production bakery servings.

                 Gumpaste Flowers:                            

 Custom estimates will be drawn up for all gumpaste flower orders.  All prices include fillers such as leaves, tendrils, and tiny blooms, as needed.  If your order consists of fillers only, an estimate will be drawn up upon your consultation.

If you prefer fresh flowers on your cake, please work with your florist to make sure that the foliage and flowers are safe to place on an edible cake.  You may click here to review a list of safe flowers, however, it is ultimately your responsibility to select wisely with the assistance of your florist.

Artwork:        

(Bows, Draping, Pearl Borders, Pastillage, Lace/stringwork, Basket weave, Lattice, Brushed embroidery, Figurines, etc.)

An estimate will be determined after your free consultation.  Total price will depend upon the final design.

Cake Dummy Layers:    

The price for dummy layers is 60% (per "serving") of the per serving cost of your cake, as the materials used are close to the cost of a real cake and the labor to decorate is the same. 

Cake Sampling: 

I offer samplings of my cakes and icings (by appointment only) at the small fee of $15.00.  Samplings include your choice of 2 single layer, 6" cakes and 4 icings.  Additional cake flavors (with two icings) are available for $5.00 per cake.  A cake box is included so you may take your samples home with you if you wish.

Equipment Rentals: 

There is a $100.00(ea.) deposit required for any equipment rentals such as stands, pillars, fountains, etc. which will be due with your final payment.  This deposit will be refunded upon return of the equipment in satisfactory condition.

Delivery Prices:     

  Delivery within a 20 mile radius will hold a nominal fee of $15.00.  For deliveries outside of the 20 mile radius, there will be a small fee of $2.00 per mile.  Delivery is free with all orders of $500.00 or more.  Setup is free for all orders, unless an unusual amount of work is required.  If your centerpiece falls under this category, an estimate will be drawn.

 

If you decide to pick up and transport your cake yourself, please review transporting your cake.

***NOTE:  If I cannot gain entry to the event site at the scheduled time of delivery, the cake will be returned to my home and the delivery will become the responsibility of the customer. The delivery fee will not be refunded.

 


Deposit and Cancellation Information

***There is a 50% non-refundable deposit required for all cakes in order to reserve your date.  The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to delivery. ***

*** Cancellations for all cakes must be made a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your event, otherwise the full price of the cake is required. All contract cancellations must be in writing and signed.***
